Attorney at the High Court

Nikos Koutroubis is attorney at the High Court, practicing law since 1962 as a member of the Athens Bar Association.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE He is offering legal services in the fields of dispute resolution and advisory work. He has worked as an in-house lawyer of the companies SIEMENS – VIOCHALCO – TECHNICAL UNION, which undertook the underground installation of the PUBLIC POWER CORPORATIONS’ (PPC) network and the construction of the distribution centers of Attica. He has represented many greek and foreign individuals and companies in the area of constructions and public works.

In parallel, he developed a broad activity in the syndicalism of the Athens Bar Association, where he has been elected member of its Board from 1975 until 1993. In the years 1987-1990 he was nominated Secretary General and in the years 1990-1993 he was nominated Vice- President of the Athens Bar Association. Since 1979 he was the greek representative of the CCBE (COUNCIL OF THE BARS AND LAW SOCIETIES OF EUROPE) and he was since then the leader of the greek delegation in all Summits. In 1989 he was elected President of the CCBE (1st Greek President in this body). In the period 1990-1993 he was member of the Board of Directors of the PUBLIC POWER CORPORATION, member of the RADIO AND TELEVISION COUNCIL and Expert Assistant of the Ministry of Justice.

He has practiced law in the areas of Civil, Corporate and Banking Law, he has participated in several Arbitrations of the ICC and the Athens Commercial and Industrial Chamber.

EDUCATION Nikos Koutroubis has graduated from the Law School of Athens and the Athens University of Political and Economic Sciences.

He speaks fluently French and English.
